RCIA Elect - Spring, 2009
Please keep our Elect in your prayers as they continue their journey to full Communion with the Catholic Church.

Jenny Ryan

I am 25 years old. I am an art teacher with a BA in Art History.
Raised protestant, I started going to Catholic school when I was in the
5 th grade. I was baptized Catholic when I was 12 years old but a year
or so later my family stopped going to Catholic Church. Consequently,
I never went through confirmation. In February 2008, I became close
to someone whose Catholic faith was very important to them and I
went back to church one Sunday and never stopped going. Ironically,
the aspects of Catholicism that seemed strange or confusing to me as
a child were the same things that brought me back to the faith as an
adult. God has a plan for all of us and we have to put our faith and
trust in him especially when the going gets tough.

John Kolb
I have been married 37 years no children, Air Force veteran, 44 years
in the Telecommunications Industry, Retired in March of 2005. I have
been involved with Epiphany's outreach program for the past 15 years.
Thought this would be a good time to continue my journey.

Richard Wyatt
I'm widowed, 53 years of age. I build structural steel buildings and
have been employed with the same firm for 36 years. I have 2 sons
and 1 daughter. I have been attending mass at Epiphany since
September 2007. I want to renew my faith and I am enjoying my
conversion to Catholicism at Epiphany.

Lisa Doyle
I am 39, married to Meade for 10 years, mother of Monica 7 and step
mother to Kristen 18. I'm a full time accounting professional. I enjoy
reading and running. I especially enjoy singing and dancing around the
house with my daughter.

It is also my daughter who helped me begin my journey. To slow down
long enough to see the world through the eyes of a child helps you
realize real fast what is truly important.  It is important to me to give
her something I missed as a child and that is a solid understanding
and appreciation for her faith.

I'm excited to be taking my journey to the next level and look forward
to continuing my religious education.

John L. Koenig
I was born in Manchester New Hampshire, moved to Rutland,
Vermont, where my Dad was the Forest Supervisor of the Green
Mountain National Forest. Later, the family moved to the suburbs of
Philadelphia. My Professional Experience begins with my service as a
Marine Officer; it also includes work as a Senior Staff Assistant, Select
Committee on Crime, US. House of Representatives, then as a Senior
Partner, Mull & Koenig Associates, International Marketing
Consultants, and Chairman, The Global Institute for World Trade
Foundation. My education includes a Bachelor of Arts degree, Elon
University and a Master of Arts degree from Villanova University.
Honors include a nomination For the Nobel Peace Prize by
Congressman Joseph F. Smith of Philadelphia. Joining the Catholic
community is a major part of my journey; just as the story of the
immortal Four Chaplains and Father Washington have become a part
of this journey.
