1/15/19 Weekly Reflection

Jan 15, 2019

We greet you in the name of our Lord Christ Jesus.

May the light of the Holy Spirit of our Lord, the Lord of love, mercy, and compassion shine upon all of us and may He grant us the knowledge, patience and wisdom to understand the richness of His teachings and missions which are intended to nurture our hearts and our lives.

Weekly reflection

January 15th 2019

On Sunday we celebrated the end of the Christmas season with the “Baptism of the Lord”. An end for sure but even a larger beginning for us as His Baptism ushered in the beginning of His ministry and our opportunity to receive the same Grace thought water and become Children of His Father. Today we are in “Regular” time but there is nothing regular about it if we are living these Baptismal promises. We are Brothers and Sisters of Jesus and are called to live extraordinary lives of compassion, mercy filled with love of neighbor and God. From the beginning of each “regular” day we are to offer our desires, joys, temptations and even our sufferings to Him who can make all things work for His good if we only love Him. (Romans 8:28)

As we begin “Regular” time know that you are being called according to His purpose. It is you who are being called to a community to share His love and care for your neighbors who may or may not know that there is no “regular” time once we decide to walk with Jesus though the waters of Baptism into a new life of ministry in His service.
