Liturgy Ministry

All parishioners are invited to become involved in Liturgical Ministry opportunities at Epiphany. Training is provided for each position. For additional information about the various roles, contact the individual listed on the position description.

Mass Coordinator 

Contact: Deacon Victor Valle

The Mass Coordinator is responsible for all activities, before, during and after mass that occur off the altar. This requires an individual to have good people skills, understand the sequence of the mass and be a Eucharistic Minister.* 

Altar Minister

Contact: Deacon Victor Valle

The Altar Minister assists with preparation of the vessels and altar area for weekend liturgies. Ministers must be a Catholic with a deep love of the Eucharist and a desire to assist the Presider at mass.*

* Training is provided for both positions, and Ministers are asked to participate in funeral and wedding liturgies on occasion. You may volunteer as you are available.

Altar Servers

The Altar Server Ministry is open to girls and boys at Epiphany who have made their First Communion. If your child is interested in learning about becoming an Altar Server at Mass, contact Deacon Vicor for more information. 

Minister of Hospitality

Contact: Georgia Zeblewski

Ministers of Hospitality welcome parishioners and visitors alike and assist those with special needs before, during and after mass. Ushers gather the offering; provide hospitality, distribute the parish bulletin, and staff the Welcome Desk following mass. Families, and Middle and High School students are encouraged to participate. 

Lectors

Contact: Krista Boucher

The Lector proclaims the scripture, leads the Prayers of the Faithful, and reads the Mass announcements each week. He or she must have a deep love of scripture and the ability to proclaim it in a way that enables the assembly to hear and appreciate the readings. Lectors read approximately once a month, at a Mass time of their choosing, and participate in a required annual training workshop.

Extraordinary Minister of Communion

These Ministers assist with distribution of Communion under both species at weekend liturgies. Catholic Adults and Youth, grade 10 and up, are invited to participate. You may serve at your preferred Mass.  The schedule is set in advance and training is provided

Communion to the Homebound

Contact: Deacon Victor Valle or Dana Zambrano

These Ministers bring the Eucharist to those in the parish who are unable to get to Mass. For more information or to be commissioned, contact Deacon Victor, or Dana Zambrano.

Art and Environment

Contact: Marcia Czenczek

The Art and Environment Ministry coordinates the visual appearance of the church, carefully selecting flowers, artwork, and decorations to create a prayerful worship environment during the various seasons of the liturgical year. Volunteers are always welcome and needed, both to help create and change the decorations, and to water and care for the live plants in the Centrum, Minor Worship Chapel, and Commons.
